Five Ways to Wellbeing

The Five Ways to Wellbeing is a set of five simple, evidence-based actions that can improve wellbeing in everyday life. They are:

Connect
Give
Take Notice
Keep Learning
Be Active

You can introduce any of these actions into your life, any time, and you will begin to feel the benefits. Read the Five Ways to Wellbeing best practice guide, and visit the pages above to get some ideas on how to do each of these five things. Start small, work at it - and good luck!

The Foresight Project

The Five Ways to Wellbeing is based on the UK Foresight Project's Five Ways to Wellbeing report on communicating the evidence for improving people's wellbeing, put together by the Centre for Wellbeing at the New Economics Foundation.

The centre conducted a review of the most up-to-date evidence suggesting that building the five actions into our day to day lives is important for building the wellbeing of individuals, families and communities.
