We’re seeking someone who has publishing or health promotion experience to coordinate the publication and distribution of our mental health promotion resources. We publish a range of online, print and video information resources to support people and their families, whānau and support networks to stay well and to find help when they need it.
The Mental Health Foundation (MHF) is an established charitable trust which focuses on creating a society where all people flourish by promoting positive mental health, developing supportive communities and preventing suicide. We work to support individuals, whānau, organisations and communities to improve and sustain their mental health and reach their full potential.
Based in our Mt Eden, Auckland office, this role will work across the organisation to bring together audience insights, writing and production input and funder requirements to create information products that can make a difference. It will coordinate production and distribution of resources, including managing a postal distribution and our online store.
This role requires knowledge of publishing and information sharing online, including an awareness of content marketing and social media approaches to sharing information. Some staff or process supervision experience and experience with project management and developing systems and processes is essential.
Excellent writing and editing skills, a strong detail focus and the ability to work across teams are essential. The ability to set and meet deadlines and prioritise tasks while juggling a range of initiatives is critical. A flexible working approach, along with resilience and empathy in dealing with sensitive topics will be needed for this role.
Experience of working within an NGO will be an advantage, as will having an understanding of this organisation, the services and the environment in which the MHF operates.
The salary range for this position is $57,000 – $61,500 and will be commensurate to the successful candidate's skills and experience for the role.
