Donate in celebration or in memory

You may like to celebrate a special occasion, like a significant birthday or anniversary,  with a gift of money to the Mental Health Foundation. Some people feel they have all they need, and a gift to us on their special day is more meaningful to them. Or if someone close to you passes away you can mark make a donation in their memory. This is one way to celebrate the life of that person, and also helps us make a positive difference to the future. Remembrance donations in lieu of flowers at funerals are also gratefully received.

Leave a bequest in your will

Many people choose to leave a bequest to the Mental Health Foundation to acknowledge the support we offer to individuals experiencing mental illness and their friends, family and whānau. They know by leaving us a gift in their will, their legacy will live on and help to ensure this support is available to future generations.

A bequest, including a charity in your will, is an easy way to show your support of the work the Mental Health Foundation does to lift the mental health and wellbeing of all New Zealanders.

Leaving a gift in your will can be a monetary amount, a percentage of the estate, or a residual amount – a percentage of what is left after family and debts are taken care of.  Most people choose to leave a residual percentage to a number of charities they support.

Your lawyer will be able to help you with the wording for your will if you are considering leaving a bequest to the Mental Health Foundation.
