While identifying suicide risk is important, what happens next is just as important is. This workshop provides advanced training on supporting the suicidal person, especially in non-mental health settings. Workers often feel anxious about working with a suicidal client. That hesitation is addressed and equips workers with skills and a model of “holding” the suicidal person through the crisis. The will focus on the Custodians of Hope model which can be applied to any counselling, psychotherapeutic or support modality.
