Community Engagement & Health Promotion Officer

A self-described "proud JAFA", Virginia travelled the world after leaving high school before returning to Aotearoa and settling down.

She was employed as a support and development worker for the IHC, and then enrolled in university as an adult student, completing a BA and MA (Hons), majoring in anthropology. She also undertook a teaching degree, and later worked as a secondary school English teacher. Virginia has a very handy secret talent – finding car parks – and she sees herself as an undercover superhero, fighting for good in the world.
