Sarah Knight

Resource & Information Service Manager

Sarah is new to the field of mental health, having come from a background of predominantly business and corporate libraries. Prior to her work at the Mental Health Foundation, she was the sole librarian at Watercare Services Ltd, providing an organisation of more than 350 employees over 3 sites with research, information and document supply services.

At the foundation, Sarah hopes to build on previous intiatives with a focus on maximising information technologies to further develop and promote the resource service to the widest possible audience. She believes passionately in the value of in-house libraries and resource centres and the significant role they play in supporting a wide range of organisational activities and information needs.

Sarah lives in Auckland in an ex-state house, which she is currently in the process of renovating. Not surprisingly, she enjoys reading (crime fiction and music biographies), socialising at home and elsewhere, and producing themed compilation CDs for parties and other occasions.
