Rangi Rangihika

Rangi has had an extensive career with the New Zealand Police including a four-year posting in Asia. He retired from his police career having attained the position of Police District Commander for Auckland city.

Rangi was a senior lecturer at Auckland University of Technology's Te Ara Poutama Faculty of Maori Development before being posted overseas as Commissioner of Police by Foreign Affairs. Since 1979, he has been involved in Treaty of Waitangi claims.
