Ngati Whatua

Takutai in his role as kaumatua to the Foundation provides cultural advice and guidance and is responsible for tikanga protocol and processes for the board. Takutai is widely recognised for his vast knowledge of both Te Reo Maori and tikanga and is the Foundation's iwi liaison with local iwi Ngati Whatua. Takutai's role is pivitol also to relationships with all other iwi nationwide, where he guides and supports the Foundation in the appropriate tikanga.
