Contact a Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) as follows

1. In your phone book, turn to the last green-striped section at the front titled Hospital and other Health Service providers.

2.  In that section, look for a listing for the local hospital or District Health Board and locate Mental Health services, or, in some cases, Psychiatric services.  Phone that number and ask for advice.

3.  In some areas there may be a listing for CATT or a Crisis Assessment Team.  If so, phone the number given.  If there's no response (after hours), then phone the hospital's main number and ask the operator for ‘emergency mental health services'.
