Mental Health Awareness Week

What's your global handprint?

Make Your Mark for Mental Health

Ko te tukuitanga
ka totoro, ka kawe ke
ka whakatau te manawanui

Monday 6th - Sunday 12th October 2008

The World Federation for Mental Health theme for World Mental Health Day 2008 was, Making mental health a global priority: scaling up services through citizen advocacy and action. The theme called on us to reflect on the past and look toward the future. It sought to make good mental health a global issue and asked us to think about how we could support thart goal.

Today more than ever we face problems on a global scale – human rights violations, climate change, war, poverty, violence against women and children – and we are faced with the choice of either leaving behind a harmful impact or thinking about how we can create a positive legacy.

The week was a GREAT SUCCESS and you can read about what New Zealanders did to Make their Mark, have a look at the photo gallery, buy up the last of the merchandise - and mark your diaries for next October's Mental Health Awareness Week.
