Our experienced librarians can provide information on a wide range of mental health topics and services.  

While we are not a counselling or clinical service, and we cannot recommend particular doctors or counsellors, we can point you in the right direction to access the services, information and support you need.

We also assist those working in the mental health sector find books, research and resources to help with professional practice.

Lending Library

Lending library & special collections

We have a free library available to anyone living in New Zealand. Membership is free and available to all New Zealand residents.

Members can borrow from a range of mental health, wellbeing and mental health promotion material including books and DVDs from our Auckland library.

If you live outside Auckland we can post up to two items at a time out to you free of charge (you pay to send them back to us - items should be well packaged to avoid damage).

Special collections include suicide prevention; Maori; books for children and young people; official and government reports.
