The service aims to ensure mental health for all New Zealanders by providing information, evidence-based research and best practice, and enabling understanding and support.
We provide a free service to anyone who would like information on mental health, including:
- Members of the public
- Consumers, their families and friends
- Mental health professionals
- Researchers and students
- Other libraries.

Ordering resourcesWe have free and cost mental health promotion resources available from our Online Shop, including brochures, booklets, posters, our popular Relax CD, books, toolkits and fundraising merchandise. Ph (09) 300 7030 or email resource "at" mentalhealth.org.nz

Information serviceOur subject librarians will help answer mental health questions, and can refer you to appropriate services. We cannot recommend particular doctors or counsellors, and we are not a counselling or crisis service.

Lending library & special collectionsSearch the Online Library Catalogue - OPACWe have a comprehensive library at 81 New North Rd, Eden Terrace, Auckland, where anyone can borrow from a range of mental health, wellbeing and mental health promotion material. Research linksTo keep up-to-date with mental health research you can use our Resource Finder and External Databases, sign up to our E-Bulletin; (we also have a monlthy Bulletin book review) and make use of our Journal Subscriptions.
