Mental Health Promoter Like Minds

Vanessa came to the Foundation after gaining experience in the fields of supported employment and community-based vocational rehabilitation. She has completed a Master's Degree in Health Sciences focusing on employment discrimination for people with experience of bipolar disorder.

Vanessa is passionate about social justice issues, inclusion and equality; more specifically increasing access to meaningful and supportive employment and education for tangata whaiora/consumers. Vanessa is also passionate about research and holds the belief that knowledge and education are the cornerstones to building empowerment and fostering self determination for all people who experience mental health challenges.
