Johnny Matteson
Mental Health Promoter Creative Arts Apecialist
Johnny has worked at the Foundation for the last seven years. His first assignment was tutoring in Mental Health Matters, a programme teaching school teachers about mental illness and well-being. In 1999 he worked on the Like Minds project and, in 2000, he organised and performed in the Break It Down roadshow, which toured Auckland and Northland schools. Since then he has been delivering anti-discrimination workshops as part of the Like Minds programme.
Johnny is trained as an occupational therapist and is also a well-known musician.
