Cinnamon's career began as a registered comprehensive nurse and she then trained as a lawyer. Cinnamon has an extensive background in personal and public health, having worked recently in Maori health policy and service development. She joined the foundation following her role at Auckland Regional Public Health Service, where she project managed the Child and Family Health Programmes. Cinnamon is committed to improving Maori health and reducing health inequalities.
