Jasmine has worked for The Department of Corrections for most of her adult life; initially in administration and then as programme co-ordinator, liaising with training providers and corrections staff on the delivery of education programmes for prisoners. More recently, Jasmine spent time in Australia visiting with family and friends and working in sales.  She has started studying towards a Bachelor of Education at the University of Auckland specialising in primary education.

A keen follower of all sports, Jasmine, who was raised on Auckland's North Shore, is a netball, rugby and tennis enthusiast. Animals are another interest, but with most of her pets now living on her parents' lifestyle block she has only her brother's beagle, Tyson, to keep her company city-side.
