Here we are feeling the cold blasts of winter, with another issue of MindNet online and ready for you to read and enjoy. We recently ran a website survey that revealed MindNet has a high readership among its subscribers, and others - who didn't know about it before - thought they might like to subsribe. Please feel free to pass the links on to your friends and colleagues.

Judi ClementsIn this issue we talk to Shirley Dixon about her late-life experience of depression and how quilting helped.

Alex Handiside, Senior Policy Analyst at the Mental Health Foundation tells us about his work.

Master's student Gabriel Suggate shares his research on an alternative paradigm to support mental health conditions.

Chris Banks catches up with Roshan Mahato, from Nepal.

We find out what losing your mojo means for those with coeliac disease.

Taimi Allan tells us the ins and out of teenage 'madness', social media and how teachers can support positive mental health.

Engage Aotearoa Service Director, Miriam Larsen-Barr explains how liberating it is for people to find out they are connected through their experience of mental illness.

We explore a 12-month journey of being car-free with Ciaran Fox, and Angela Culpin brings us up-to-date with recent research into Mental Wellbeing Impact Assessment (MWIA).

We also bring you recent news and this issue's reading list - mental health promotion in schools and book reviews on Taming the Tiger and The Nutters Club.

Remember, you can share your feedback by leaving a comment at the bottom of each page.

We're always looking for case studies and profiles about people and projects in New Zealand with a focus on mental health promotion and wellness. If you can recommend a wellness or mental health promotion service, project or programme that we could feature in MindNet - or would like to contribute an article yourself - please email mindnet@mentalhealth.org.nz

In the meantime, we hope you will flourish over the coming months.
